The curriculum at Beacon View Primary Academy aims to prepare children in understanding the world around them and prepare them for the next stage of their education. We want our pupils to be both interesting and interested. By the time learners have left Beacon View, they will have mastered a range of both procedural knowledge (skills) and factual knowledge through repeated low stakes quizzing; opportunities to deliberately practise and careful planning for progression and depth. Our curriculum is customised to meet the local needs of our learners.
Beacon View Families receive a curriculum overview for their child’s learning at the beginning of each short term (six per year) via email, this includes details about other events that are happening in the term and is updated termly to reflect changes to curriculum etc.
