The Governors

The main aim of the governing body is to maintain and improve its school’s standards of education and its work can be divided into three key areas:

  • Setting the school's vision and strategic aims, agreeing plans and policies, and making creative use of resources.
  • Monitoring and evaluating performance, acting as a critical friend to the Senior Leadership Team and to support and challenge them in managing the school.
  • Ensuring that the school is accountable to the children and parents it serves, to its local community, to those who fund and maintain it, as well as to the staff it employs.

Beacon View strives to offer the very best opportunity to every child by continually improving every aspect of the school and its environment. Every member of staff has made their own personal contribution to raising educational standards and must be congratulated for their hard work and commitment.

We have many challenges ahead but I know that with the commitment and the professionalism of the whole staffing team, led by an inspiring Senior Leadership Team, we will go on to achieve great success over the next few years. I firmly believe the children of Beacon View Primary deserve the very best from each and every member of the team.
